My Story

Let me pause for a moment to tell you how it all began.

Ever since I was a young boy exploring the woods, lakes, and rivers of Ohio, I have loved the outdoors. My family's move to Washington State during my teenage years opened my eyes to the stunning beauty of the Pacific Northwest, with its majestic mountains, snow skiing, incredible fishing, and endless forest trails for hiking.

As an adult, I dedicated many years to helping companies in Mexico treat their contaminated water, enabling them to reuse the water or discharge it safely without harming the environment. With my expertise in water treatment, I also assisted the largest high-tech greenhouse operation in the Americas in improving the pre and post-harvest treatment of their produce. This increased the shelf-life of their products, kept costs down, and allowed fresh produce to reach more people.

Upon returning to the USA, I worked as a Director of Business Development on government contracts, and then in forestry, performing brush and tree clearing for wildfire mitigation projects for USA and Canada.

Throughout my career in water treatment and forestry, I witnessed the global destruction and devastation occurring in our waterways and forests and I often thought of what I could do to help.

Creativity has always been my passion. In my younger years, I co-owned a recording studio where I was involved in music and artist production and previously ran a graphic tee shirt business in Portland, OR that addressed social issues (pre-Internet era).

In 2019, I founded Global Warming Warrior Wear, a Social Purpose Corporation in Washington State, which has since evolved into ZEBRA UNDERGROUND as the collections have expanded.

My aim has always been to make a difference and raise awareness on various topics through positive messages showcased with colorful graphic designs. This way, I combined my love for design with my commitment to environmental causes.
